Enjoying The Last Weekend Of Summer In The Country

I stayed in the dreamiest country house of my life this past weekend! I didn’t have much details other than everyone was gathering at the Farmhouse for a few days to celebrate two birthdays at once and that the drive would take about 7 hours (it ended up taking almost 8 hours, ouf!).
Just the day before leaving for our road trip, I received an awesome package from Première Moisson to celebrate their fall specialities (which you should check out in stores while they last!):

Première Moisson - Bag of goodies!

It included…

Première Moisson - Apple Square

Lovely apple squares

Première Moisson - Apple and maple bread

An apple and maple bread that really was an apple pie hidden in a bread

Première Moisson - Apple and sugar pie

And the most decadent apple and sugar pie

I took out these creations one by one every morning during the weekend to enjoy with our first cup of coffee!

We spent our days laying in the grass while napping or reading, playing catch, jumping on the trampoline, inventing and playing silly games like beer pong and mostly, eating and drinking wine. It was just fun to get to know everyone in different settings every day!

My all-time favorite activity though during the weekend was hanging at the pond and jumping in some of the coldest water ever, even if it was just for a few minutes! What a lovely way to spend the last few days of summer.

I have one more escapade to Halifax next weekend and then I will stay put for a few weeks in Montreal and start getting excited about sweater season 😉

Goodbye summer, you were awesome while you lasted!
