After a long (online) break while I settled into my new house, I am back with two Montreal reviews before I leave for a week of travel and food in Vancouver! I feel like it’s been forever and I hope all of you enjoyed the rest of the summer as much as I did. Last month was the birthday of a great friend of mine and I felt that Europea’s chef table would be magic enough for the occasion! Chef tables are not available everywhere but you can always ask for it while making a reservation and it won’t cost you any extra. It really is a great opportunity for food lovers to see what’s going on in the kitchen. If you’re looking for a quiet evening, I do not recommend it.

Since we went for a tasting menu, which included about 8 dishes, my memory is not sharp enough to detail each plate that I’ve tried. Why not let images speak for themselves:

Conclusion: It is clearly not the first time you’ve heard about Europea on my blog but I finally tried their menu outside an event. It was a wonderful night which took us all around the world with perfectly sized tasting plates that featured fresh ingredients, bold flavors and a presentation that would make a lot of restaurants jealous. Keep it in mind for special occasions!
