February Food Favorites

February 29, 2016

Isn’t it exciting that today is the last day of February? It just always seems like the worst month of the year winter wise! One highlight though is that I made some great discoveries food wise that are perfect for staying home.

Scramble Product Line

Scramble is totally my new favorite breakfast item! These delicious mixes pack a minimum of 10 ingredients and are low in sugar & fat. Even if I enjoy cooking and even meal prepping, I love the array of ingredients found in each mixes and the time it saves in actually cooking breakfast.

Scramble - Cooking breakfast

I’ve been using each mix daily with my eggs, usually scrambled and sometimes on top of warm tortillas. The most surprising in taste is the Mediterranean flavour that includes black olives. It’s so delicious that I also want to try it with pasta in the future ;)

To get your hands on these delicious and healthy mixes, go to a Metro near you and they should be found right next to the eggs. Yum!

Oat & Mill

Oat & Mill

Now after starting the day off with such a healthy breakfast, it’s normal to deserve a treat later in the day and Oat & Mill is the perfect option! We’re very lucky that this Ottawa based company delivers this goodness to us in Montreal, considering there’s nothing like it in town.

What they offer is a product that eats like ice cream but is actually made from oats. It looks the same, melts the same way and is as decadent as real ice cream. The main differences though, or highlights should I say, is that the product is not only vegan but also made with local and organic ingredients including Quebec grown oats!

I cannot get enough of the London Fog/Ginger Chai mix!

You can order a 4 or 6-pack through the website that features 46 different flavours right now. Depending on the combo you choose, a pint is between $8.99 and $9.99 and the shipping is an additional $7.
