Found My New Gnocchi Place: Pizzaiolle Revisited!

It’s been so long since I wrote an article about a restaurant in Montreal! You’ve probably noticed this shift on the blog if you’ve been following me for a while too. I still love trying new restaurants but with my current lifestyle, it’s more for special occasions. Coffee shops though will always be part of my daily life, here & around the world. All of this to say that if I feel like sharing a meal I had on the blog, it has to be pretty satisfying and Pizzaiolle hit the spot last Monday! I was invited by the small Montreal chain to try the new menu that now includes three types of gnocchi brought to you by executive chef Dario D’Errico.


There’s nothing that I love more than ricotta gnocchi when it comes to Italian food. At that price, I had to go find out if it was everything I hoped for.


Of course, we had to start with a few appetizers: Ricotta & Tomatoes Crustini and Meatballs & Polenta. The ricotta was so fresh and rich. The meatballs with polenta were perfect and I did not feel the need for bread with them even if that’s what you usually get as a side!


For our mains, we picked a special white pizza with scallops & pancetta and or course, the ricotta gnocchi! I usually always go for a Margherita pizza and it was nice to try something different especially to get a real taste of the dough.

The gnocchi made from ricotta was extra light, just like it should be! It was so good that I’m looking forward to trying the other gnocchi types. At that price, it just became my new go-to take out when I feel like eating delicious carbs ;)
