L'Entrepôt Mont-Royal or how to eat and drink for $20

August 07, 2014

L'Entrepôt When I heard about a restaurant that serves dishes and drinks for a standard $4.95 rate on Mont-Royal, I had to try it. I was told that the concept actually comes from Quebec city and it is obviously working here. I mean, who would say no to a menu at $4.95?

Of course, there was a huge line-up when we went but also an awesome hostess who was nice enough to take our names and let us walk around the neighborhood while we waited for our table. Sadly, the terrace wasn’t an option as nobody seemed in a rush to leave.

The restaurant deco is all about skateboarding and sort of reminds me of venues you’d find in surf towns.

Entrepôt - Burger and salad

For my meal, I ordered the beet and goat cheese salad and a burger (breadless for me) with sweet potato fries. I also sampled the mac&cheese from my friend’s plate which was covered with Doritos chips to make it spicy, not a bad idea!

I loved the generous salad and the sweet potato fries were perfect! The burger was fine but tasted like a fast food burger and not a restaurant patty. I also had a sangria to wash it all down which didn’t really taste like sangria.

Overall, check out L’Entrepôt Mont-Royal if you’re hungover, broke or love recipes from Bob Le Chef. They’re doing wonders with inexpensive ingredients and I think it’s a pretty cool concept that works for a laidback evening with friends!
