Sushi Roku in Las Vegas

May 16, 2011

I went to Las Vegas for the first time back in April. I wasn’t a huge fan of the excessive drinking and losing money at all times of the day but I did enjoy visiting the prestigious hotels on the strip. Mirage was my favorite hotel and we decided to play a few $20 on the 25 cents machine. I wasn’t successful at all but my friend ended up winning her money back plus an extra $200!

She decided it was time to celebrate so we continued our visit of the strip to end up all the way to the top of Ceasars Palace shopping mall. This is where we found a lovely Japanese restaurant.

Sushi Roku has five locations in the United States and if they are as beautiful as the one I tried, it won’t be my last visit!

As we were heading to our chosen table, we were greeted by the whole staff just like we would in Japan.

After taking a look at the menu, I decided to go with their very generous bento lunch special. It featured a piece of pan-seared cod in butter, a lamb chop on mashed potatoes, a green salad, a mix of tempuras, pickled vegetables, halibut and tuna sashimi and rice. No need to say that everything was perfectly executed and delicious!

So next time you’re visiting Las Vegas and get tired of the fast food and buffets, look out for Sushi Roku. You won’t be deceived and the prices respect the quality of the product being served.
